These are some really good photos, most of them I have never seen before. Thanks to Brain for sending them to you Karen, and for you posting them. I really like your site, so much information.
Karen I just found out that the girl to the immediate right of Bernice in the grade school picture is Elva. That is as you are looking at the picture. Thought you might like to know the update. Brian
Karen
First pictures I have seen of my great grandfathers brothers.
I have a note that says there were two sisters, names unknown.
Thanks
Frank Brewster
Oh one more thing… the photo clear on the bottom of the page in the middle (with the three women and one man sitting on a bench) has an error in the caption. The young woman on the far right is my great aunt “Martha,” daughter of Emma Brewster. Thanks!
Karen, any names on the picture from the 1913 reunion? Philip and Pearl Brewster were my uncle’s maternal grandparents, trying to pin down some info for him.
I have the names of those in the photo in an older blog post, “The First Brewster Reunion, 1913” which I posted 9 March 2012. You can find it by locating the March 2012 posts (click on 2012 posts on the right side of the home page) or search for Brewster by typing Brewster in the search area at the top right portion of the home page. Let me know if you can’t find the post and I will send you the list of names. By the way, who is your uncle? Thanks for writing!
Karen I was contacted from a Brewster a year ago and he sent me some pictures of Willian Henderson Brewster and a few stories of him WH Brewster. And have very resent pictures of the mansion. Now abandon. I would like to send copies of these pictures.
I am connected to them through Caroline (Calliie) Brewster she was my Great Grandmother.
Greetings from the Chattanooga, Ohio, area. Yes, Ohio has its very own Chattanooga, aka Chatt, a small village in west-central Ohio, near the Indiana border. I have been doing family history and genealogy research for over 30 years and am Credentialed as a Board-certified genealogist by the Board for Certification of Genealogists®, 2003-2024, retired 2024. My main genealogical interests are family research, cemetery research, and historical and genealogical research of the Chatt area, with a focus on two area Lutheran Churches, both named Zion Lutheran, one in Chatt and the other in Schumm, Ohio. Family names I am researching include Miller, Schumm, Brewster, Rueck, Reid, Headington, Huey, Bryan, Whiteman, Schinnerer, Scaer, Breuninger, Bennett, and a few others. I belong to several lineage societies, including the Daughters of the American Revolution, U.S. Daughters of 1812, First Families of Ohio, and First Families of Mercer and Van Wert Counties. I am also a retired dental hygienist and our church organist. I hope you enjoy Karen's Chatt.
