I have moved from 1910 and am now looking through the 1911 issues of The Celina Democrat, searching for news and information about Black Creek and Liberty Townships. Most of the news the paper printed was from the Celina area, but occasionally there is news from the northwest part of the county.

1911 Ditch Notice to Jacob Miller

The other day I ran across this interesting paper, a 1911 Ditch Notice for my great-grandfather Jacob Miller.
This Ditch Notice was sent to the property owners on the west part of Black Creek Township, Mercer County, Ohio, for the improvement of the ditch, which was obviously Duck Creek.

A few weeks ago I wrote about the Chattanooga, Ohio, Post Office and included a list of the postmasters appointed to serve there around the turn of the century.  

There were several other post offices in the area but not all were located in a town or village.
