This was a very popular photo postcard in the Willshire area in the early 1900s.

Today, another picture postcard, dated 1908, a photo of the newly built Willshire Public School. This is a fairly common picture postcard of the school, which was completed in 1901.

I could not help myself. A couple weeks ago, while at the Brumback Library in Van Wert, looking at William G. Hoffer’s obituary, my eyes strayed to other parts of the Willshire Herald. Actually, I looked at a few other issues of the newspaper. They are just so darned interesting.
